History in a Nutshell
The Complete Reploid Union (C.R.U.) is the current World Government on Earth. It
started as the Western Reploid Union on the western coast of the former United
States by Needleman, and in a few short years quickly consumed almost all of
North America. During the Great Reploid Rebellion, it spread southward and then
into Africa, turning most of Africa and all of South America into vassal states. A
couple years afterward, Fefnir, leader of the New European Republic and New
World Alliance declared war, and so began World War III.
After a grueling four years, the war was ended in WRU victory with the fall of Desert
Claw and the rest of the surrounding world except Shinisteru in Russia and the New
European Republic.
After the introduction of the Burst Limit Enhancer to the Global Reploid Union
military, the N.E.R. and Shinisteru fell without issue, and on June 21st, 2210 the
CRU was born.
Government
Throughout all of it’s changes during the decade it took to create, the government
remained largely the same. The world is now divided up into multiple large
dominions with the Western Reploid Union as the Head Dominion. The dominions
are:
The Western Reploid Union controlling most of North America all the way to the
arctic and south to South America. Capital city is Washington D.C. that is also the
capital of the entire Complete Reploid Union. Leader is the Reploid known as
Bellum.
The Arctic Reploid Union controlling north-most Canada including Alaska all the
way up to the north pole and including Greenland, Iceland, and Svalbard. Capital
city is Reykijavik. Leader is Devilbat Schilt who had also led it back when it was
West Shin.
The Southern Reploid Union encompassing South America. Led by Elpizo and it's
capital is Sao Paulo.
The African Reploid Union, AKA the Proto Mekvah controlling all of Africa except
Algeria, Libya, and Egypt. Also controls Madagascar and capital is Addis Ababa.
Led by Blues.
The European Reploid Union, which controls all of Europe, including the British
Isles. Led by Rock and capital is Rome
The Northern Reploid Union, which controls all of Russia including Kazakstan. Led
by Kraft and capital is Moscow
The Desert Reploid Union, which controls everything from Turkey to India, including
Algeria, Egypt, and Libya. Capital is Cairo. Led by Bass.
The Eastern Reploid Union, which controls South Eastern Asia. Capital is Tokyo,
and is led by Panter Flauclaws.
The Pacific Reploid Union, which controls Australia and all islands around it. Capital
is New Sydney and is led by Signas.
The Orbital Reploid Union, which controls all 22 Space Colonies which have been
connected to form the giant space metropolis, Utopia. Capital is Utopia. Led by
Phantom.
Each Dominion has it’s own government, congress, and capital and there are
smaller, local communities within.
The entire CRU is governed from San Francisco, the former Capital of the WRU.
From there, Needleman rules as Supreme Chancellor, and under him is Vice
Chancellor Neo X.
The main face of the CRU Government is the Congress, an organization of 11
delegates from each state along with the Supreme Chancellor and Vice Chancellor.
The Congress votes on any issues presented to it, and their decision is sent on to
the Supreme Chancellor for approval while the Vice Chancellor breaks ties in
voting. They are the only body in the government capable of removing the current
Supreme or Vice Chancellors.
Military
The C.R.U. military is a complex organization. It is headed by Supreme General
Kraft along with Sub-Commander Signas. The C.R.U. military is divided up into
“Divisions” of varying types, whether it be Armored, Infantry, Airborne, Naval,
Support, or Micro-Nuclear.
Armored Divisions consist mainly of tanks or heavily armored War Suits.
The Infantry is just that, mechanaloid soldiers mixed with Human or Reploid
Commanders. Very rarely with a Reploid or Human be a foot soldier.
The Airborne divisions are comprised of not only fighters, bombers, transports and
the like, but also highly-mobile War Suits and other flying Reploids.
The Navy is made up of a fair mix of your classic Aircraft Carriers, Battleships,
Submarines, Stealth Destroyers, and any other sort of warship they could make
float.
The Micro-Nuclear divisions are the most heavily armed divisions of them all, and
are equipped with micro-scale nuclear weaponry, such as micro-nuclear grenadiers
or artillery that lob off micro-nuclear shells. It is highly recommend that you avoid
pissing these guys off.
Maverick Hunters
A specific portion of the CRU Military that is dedicated to special operations. These
represents the best of the best of the CRU soldiers and are the ones that lead
important strikes against the resistance. They also function as a Planetary Police
Force when needed. Maverick Hunters are stationed all over the planet and are
constantly making attacks against Rebellion outposts and forces.
They are headed specifically by Kraft, and he is the lead Maverick Hunter.
Robot Attack Tactics Squad
The Elite fighters of the C.R.U. Each Reploid in here is a walking war machine that
is capable of wiping out entire armies and has proven it on several occasions. They
are led by Neo X and the other members are Elpizo, Panter Flauclaws, and
Phantom. These guys are the ones who fight the high-ranking Rebellion leaders,
like Megaman X and Zero.
There is currently a single opening in the R.A.T.S.
Life in the Union
The C.R.U. has, without a doubt, brought prosperity to the world. Pandemics, War,
Poverty, Illiteracy, and Hunger have all been brought to an end by the power of the
united Earth. The average citizen enjoys luxuries once only seen by the upper
class, and even the lower class live lives better than the mid-class had. The
government runs like clockwork, more or less allowing the people to live as they will
and all their needs are meet, and much of their wants as well. Until they cross a line.
Justice in the C.R.U. is harsh, and sentences are longer and jail quality worse than
what it had been in, say, the Old United States, but at the same time not as harsh
as the Red Alert's had been. About on par with the justice system in the New
European Republic.
Freedom, on the other hand, is nearly non-existant. Speaking out against the
government is expressly forbidden, and suggestions are only warily tolerated.
Suspect traitors are also put to death all but on the spot, being the only crime in
which one is Guilty until Proven Innocent. At the same time the government isn't
shy about exercising it's power when and where needed, and keep the media
under fairly tight regulations, preventing government-criticizing reports from airing.
The actually system of government is largely undemocratic, and Needleman himself
even calls the government an Authoritarian Democracy, where people are allowed
to express(most of) their opinions.
Reploids treat Humans much like Whites had treated Blacks in the middle of the
Civil Rights movement back in the 1960's. Actual racial violence is censored from
the media, but no secret from the people.
Utopia
Utopia was formed when the C.R.U. invaded the space colonies shortly after the
World War III peace treaty, as part of the agreement. After they were taken, many
space colonies were dismantled to expand what would become the five major space
metropolises of Utopia: Bahn, Alexandria, Prydain, Albion, and Griffin. Tens of
millions inhabit the thriving space cities, which are connected by a series of rail
lines that allow electromagnetic mag trains to zip across them at lightning speed,
creating a web around the Earth. The "capital" of Utopia is Bahn.
Quantum Slipstream Drive
Quantum Slipstream Drive(QSD) was perfected far back in 2205 by C.R.U.
scientists on Bahn. The Quantum Slipstream Drive brings into reality what had
been only Science Fiction. Utilizing a highly-contained and fluctuating Warp-Field
that spans out like an invisible tunnel infinitely in one direction, probes equipped
with this technology can traverse space at the equivalent of 500 times faster than
the Speed of Light, when in reality the ship itself isn't moving at all, it is simply riding
on a contained wave of space-time, thus not violating Einstein's Theory of Special
Relativity. As of 2215, an inter-stellar exploration fleet of five vessels is under
construction, one in each space port belonging to each of the five Space Colonies.
