Dove was actually born a human- She is a Shinisteru citizen by
blood- but she was captured at the age of 15 by Rebel scientists
trying to create the perfect soldier by way of creating a Biometal.
For nearly two years Dove was put through brutal genetic
experimentation, including such things as gene splicing and
cloning. Then, during a fateful experiment in which the
researchers attempted to see if their Biometal, one "Model S",
could take complete control of her body, one of Doves clones
was actually killed due the stress of actually having the Biometal
bonded to her spinal column. The scientists attempted several
other experiments using other clones, but their results were
always the same; death. The scientists nearly gave up hope, but
the Biometal itself found a solution; it made a data-map of of
Doves conscious mind and transferred her consciousness into a
positronic brain. Astounded by the Biometals resounding
success, the scientists gave it free reign of the project, allowing
Model S, or "Skull" as it insisted on being called, to create a
faithful copy of Dove in reploid form, even going so far as to take
tissue and hair samples and have them grown over the
mechanical carapace.(Doves blue hair is actually a flaw from
previous genetic experimentation) Then, the day of the new,
reploid Doves activation, the original Dove Harlien was taken to
meet Model S herself. The scientists had been told Skull was
merely going to dispose of the girl, but in the end, Skull had
never had any intention of helping the resistance; the Biometal
was natually psychotic, and had no desire to be enslaved by
some self righteous guerrilla. Skull did destroy Doves human self,
but he kept her alive long enough to copy her mind in it's
entirety- right down to her memories, and the bitter hatred she
felt for the scientists.
So, when Skull resurrected Dove as a reploid he proceeded to
immediately attach himself to her; the researchers had
intentionally created him to attach directly to his hosts body so
that he could posses them, but instead Skull and Dove
proceeded to destroy everyone and everything inside the facility.
Later that week- the facility was expansive, and Dove and her
living armor had only just managed to kill the last pocket of
rebels- Neo-X and Phantom arrived with a contingent of CRU
marines. They found and incapacitated Dove and brought her
back to R.A.T.S. HQ, where she awaits a decision as to her fate.
